Paintless Dent Repair Costs Are Too High
Do you think your auto paintless dent repair costs are too high? So much plays into the costs of paintless dent repair damages to a vehicle. Surprisingly we can control and fix a lot of what we are doing to lower our auto repair costs. Lets begin!
All advice is from MyAutoRepairAdvice.com Honest Advice From A Real Mechanic
Three Main Types Of Repair Shops
-Dealerships
-Independent Repair Shops
-Chain Stores
No matter which type of repair shop you choose, be sure to get a detailed estimate of your auto repair costs. It’s best being prepared for the repair bills instead of being shocked. If you do not get a good estimate then you have no way of knowing if you are being overcharged or not. If you just go by the mechanics word, then there is no way to prove what prices you were quoted since you don’t have any written records.
Why Do Auto Repair Shops Charge So Much?
Average non-pdr repairs cost per hour range from $60 to $125+, which does look like a lot of money. The reason the pricing is so high can be due to many factors from rent, tools, payroll, training, specialization, etc. There is very little left over for profit to keep the company running properly. Many people attempt to get repairs at paintless dent repair technicians that give cheaper rates. I highly discourage this. Generally the shop with the surprisingly low labor rates will also be the shop that does not have the equipment or skills to properly fix the damages. Even if their labor rate seems higher than you’d like, the important thing is that your vehicle is fixed and safe on the road.
Auto Check-Ups
We know to keep ourselves healthy we must go to regular doctor visits. Check-ups are important also to keep you car in tip top shape. In every owner’s manual you find a schedule of maintenance. This schedule tells you exactly what your vehicle needs at pre set mileage intervals. Whether they notice a dent they can pop quick or a recalled part, check-ups save you time and money. Neglect of standard check-ups will almost certainly end up costing more for repairs and it won’t last or look good long.
